Summary

Simon is an Electrical Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the building services industry across a wide range of sectors including defence, power, public, retail, education, leisure, industrial, commercial, and healthcare.

Simon has experience of leading projects from conception through to final delivery including the project management, coordination, and the design of electrical building services on a range of projects working to tight deadlines and ensuring delivery of the projects within the tight constraints of client programmes.

Simon has detailed knowledge of various electrical building services systems such as, low voltage electrical distribution (cables, containment, switchgear), standby generation, UPS’s, small power, lighting & emergency lighting, fire alarms, intruder detection, access control, emergency call, lightning protection and data. Simon has significant experience of containment sizing, cable calculations, lighting calculations, plant room planning, riser sizing and electrical maximum demand load assessments.

Simon possesses a well-developed commercial acumen and is able to manage challenging programmes whilst maintaining quality assurance and ensuring client satisfaction.

Simon is experienced in litigation work and forensic engineering. The depth and breadth of his experience allows him to engage with the technical complexities of each case, and provides him with a sound understanding of the applicable standards, codes and regulations.
