Fernando is a MSc. Civil Engineer from the Technical University of Madrid and has a solid experience in project and contract controls, claims and dispute resolution with over 14 years of international experience in engineering and construction projects in United Kingdom, Middle East, Spain and Latin America (given he is bilingual Spanish | English)
Fernando specialises in forensic delay and disruption analysis, focusing on resolving time-related issues through the usage of various recognised analysis techniques based on project’s critical path.
Fernando has a BTEC Level 7 Award in Forensic Delay Analysis and has been listed as Construction Expert in Lexology Global Index 2025 (former Who’s Who Legal). He has recently become Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCiArb).
Fernando has undertaken expert commissions for project disputes on the sectors of infrastructure, marine, buildings, process and industrial, oil and gas and various power plants. He has been appointed as lead Expert Witness on multiple occasions under various rules of arbitration including ICC, CIMA and SCC, and has been cross-examined and provided oral testimony both in arbitration, and in front of a court of law.
