Summary
Michael is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with 20 years of construction industry experience. He holds a Master’s degree in Construction Law from the University of Strathclyde and is an accredited RICS APC assessor.
Michael has also completed the Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence (LETAPAEWE), Level 7 (Masters Level) BTEC which is accredited by the RICS.
Michael moved into consultancy in 2015 having previously worked for multinational contracting organisations, latterly holding the position of Senior Quantity Surveyor, acting as commercial lead and responsible for all commercial aspects of Construction Projects.
He has extensive pre-contract and post-contract project experience encompassing the education, retail, leisure and commercial sectors of the construction industry.
Since moving into a consultancy role, he has advised clients on contractual and commercial matters, assisted with the preparation of adjudication submissions, expert reports and claim documents in relation to construction, engineering, infrastructure and petrochemical projects.
Michael regularly participates in the delivery of the bi-annual Driver Trett training seminars in Glasgow. Michael has also delivered bespoke training sessions for Contractors on topics such as NEC3 and NEC4.
This expert has completed an external cross-examination course.
