Jeremy is an experienced construction materials engineer with sound technical skills and knowledge of a wide range of construction materials and materials technology practices. He has been involved in all stages of the lifecycle of civil engineering structures including buildings, bridges, railways, tunnels and deep basements, power stations, ports and coastal structures and water treatment works.
Project tasks he has undertaken range from concept design, materials specification, durability design, deterioration modelling, quality control during construction, through to condition surveys of existing structures, failure investigations, repair specification, maintenance and asset management planning.
He has acted as expert witness and advisor for disputes involving concrete, cladding, flooring, roofing, plaster and render systems, fill materials, aggregates, natural stone, metals, coatings, timber and waterproofing systems.
Jeremy has also authored 44 publications, chaired technical committees and acted as editorial advisor to ICE Proceedings Forensic Engineering journal.
