Summary

Garth is a chartered surveyor with over 20 years of post-graduate experience, predominantly in Asia, in the cost and contract management of numerous construction projects.

He has an excellent working knowledge of the main forms of building and civil engineering contracts used in Singapore and Malaysia; and also the FIDIC international form of contract through working on projects in India and Thailand.

Garth has experience of presenting, debating, and negotiating a range of claim issues at mediation, in the preparation of witness statements, and giving evidence at hearings in matters of arbitration between main contractor’s and clients or sub-contractors.

His previous assignments include providing Contract management service and claim support to the main contractor on a large underground railway project in Singapore over a period of almost six years. Garth has also given factual evidence in a number of hearings in matters at arbitration.

Garth has completed the KLRCA adjudication training programme examinations and is empanelled as an adjudicator with KLRCA. He is currently based in our Malaysia office.
