Christian has over 20 years of experience in the building and civil engineering sector, including other sectors such as oil and gas, large scale infrastructure projects, aviation, healthcare, rail, and commercial and residential developments.
He has an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of project controls and expertise in forensic delay analysis. He often provides advice to clients in relation to delay and disruption on projects as well as managing various disputes for large multinational organisations. He has been appointed as an expert witness and has been cross examined in an ICC arbitration in relation to a dispute with a large international salvage contractor operating off the coast of Iraq.
He has recently been appointed to provide expert advice on matters relating to delay to the development of a retail outlet for a high-end fashion retailer.
In addition to his expert appointments, Christian has also undertaken several lead assistant roles in residential and industrial arbitrations in the Middle East, including:
- Dispute involving the development of a large scale residential tower – ICC arbitration
- Dispute involving a district cooling plant – DIAC arbitration
Christian is regularly involved in providing external seminars to clients and professional bodies in relation to delay and disruption analysis. He has delivered training and seminars on topics including; Concurrency for RICS Middle East and Delay Analysis – Making the right choice for RICS and CIOB Middle East. In addition, he has also delivered external training for a large international contractor.
Christian has also written articles on subjects relating to delay analysis and the assessment of concurrent delay, which have been published within leading publications in the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
He has advanced knowledge in the use of Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project, and Deltek Acumen Fuse software.
