Neil has over 40 years’ experience in the engineering and construction industry, and has provided management services to both owners and contractors.
He is a seasoned expert providing services to mitigate the impact of construction disputes. Having global experience on major projects across the world. Leader of consultant teams to focus efforts during the dispute process to mitigate client costs and provide realistic outcomes.
Primarily Neil’s experience has been gained in the US though he has worked on assignments in South America, Canada, Middle East, Asia, UK and South Africa.
He is a qualified expert witness having provided expert testimony in US courts or arbitration proceedings on at least 25 separate occasions. Expert testimony has focused on construction costs, productivity, cost to complete, time delays, CPM analysis and scope definition.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Panel Member of the American Arbitration Association.
He has acted as arbitrator and on a day-to-day basis and is responsible for services related to dispute resolution, construction claims, project advisory and cost consulting.
On claims issues, Neil has represented both Contractors and Owners on cost issues, delay/time extensions, change orders, CPM scheduling and construction management disputes and has worked with all major forms of contracts including AIA, JCT, FIDIC and bespoke forms.
