Summary
Kjeld is a graduated architectural engineer and gained knowledge of the construction process during jobs at contractors and architectural firms where he developed from an architectural engineer to a project manager. He has worked on many construction projects and dealt with the various aspects of construction law.
Subsequently, Kjeld started eleven years ago with contract- and claims management and soon after that picked up the skills of planning and delay analysis. Now he can work with all sorts of planning software and all well-known delay analysis methodologies have no secrets for him.
He has significant experience in advising clients on construction and engineering contracts, preparing, and defending claims including time and money, dispute avoidance / resolution issues as well as day to day assistance of clients with commercial and contract management services.
He has collaborated with the clients lawyers and (legal) team and has acted as appointed expert witness in proceedings before NAI, RvA and Dutch national courts. He is one of the co-authors of the Dutch ‘Leidraad Vertraging en Verstoring’, a guideline on delay and disruption for professionals.
In addition, Kjeld is the Operations Director for Driver Trett Netherlands. In this role he is responsible for the business of two Driver Trett offices.
