Summary
Hooman is an experienced Chartered Structural and Civil Engineer with over 25 years’ experience. He has carried out analysis, design and structural engineering investigations throughout his career as well as gaining substantial experience of forensic engineering and expert witness services, including technical support to other experts, on various projects in size and complexity, over the past 10 years.
He has been appointed to provide independent expert reports as well as being cross-examined in international arbitration. His technical experience extends across a wide variety of sectors including industrial, commercial, residential, educational, health, leisure, sport and hospitality, renewable energy in respect of new and refurbishment projects for a variety of employers and contractors.
Hooman possess advanced technical knowledge and experience in steel structures of many shapes and forms. He has a broad knowledge and understanding of welding defects, destructive and non-destructive testing and weld repairs, as well as defects in various type of bolted connections.
In addition to steel, along with designing reinforced concrete (RC) structures, he has carried out extensive analysis and design investigation relative repairs and remedial solutions for structural concrete frames, foundations, basement, pile and piled rafts, retaining walls and large concrete floors. Hooman also has experience of other materials including as poly carbonate, aluminium, stainless steel and glass.
Hooman is also vastly experienced in façade replacement and cladding in various forms including curtain walling and masonry cladding (stone and brick), timber and metal cladding; temporary works in metal (steel, aluminium, scaffolding, layher systems, steel space frames, connections, double-curvature and twisting triangular monocoque steel frames) and timber and working under various national and international standards.
Hooman has also carried out extensive analysis and design and has provided independent opinion on subsidence and geotechnical issues, foundation problems, piling, abutments, retaining walls, propping and basements.
