Craig McPheator is an experienced quantity surveyor, contracts manager, and dispute resolution consultant, with nearly 30 years’ experience in the construction industry.
He was a practicing quantity surveyor and commercial manager for 14 years, working for construction firms in the UK and internationally between 1996 and 2010.
Since 2010, he has focused exclusively on forensic quantum services in construction and engineering disputes, supporting quantum and delay experts working with employers, contractors, and subcontractors to assess, value, and provide opinion on contractual claims and variations to the time and cost elements of construction projects.
Craig spent 15 years working across the Middle East, gaining experience in countries such as UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia.Other countries that he has worked in include Morocco, South Africa, Germany and North America.
Craig has been appointed as the quantum expert on two occasions. Once in Qatar on a marine works dispute in the Qatar Courts and once in Scotland on a defects claim in the Scottish Commercial Court. His expertise encompasses litigation, arbitration, adjudication, and expert determination, having also assisted quantum and delay experts in domestic and international arbitration, litigation, adjudication, and binding and non-binding expert determinations.
