Understanding Delay and Disruption: Costs, Claims and Commercial Perspectives

Delay and disruption are common features of construction and engineering projects and can result in significant additional costs that were not anticipated when contracts were agreed. Understanding how those costs arise and how they are assessed is critical for effective project and commercial management.
This interactive seminar will explore:
- The types of costs typically incurred as a result of delay and disruption
- Common methodologies used to evaluate and quantify those costs
- Practical considerations when assessing entitlement
The session will include engaging role-play scenarios based on a fictional project, examining the differing perspectives of key stakeholders including the client, contractor and subcontractor.
This practical format is designed to encourage discussion and provide real world insight into the commercial and contractual challenges that arise on live projects.
