Summary

Kevin began his career in private practice, where he trained in quantity surveying, before subsequently progressing into contracting and becoming a commercial director. He became extensively involved in the avoidance and resolution of construction disputes across a spectrum of industry sectors and disciplines to include building, civil engineering, oil and gas, building services installations, power generation and transportation in both contracting and consulting.

Kevin has been appointed as an expert witness and has been cross-examined on numerous occasions. He is well versed in procedural rules applicable to experts across many jurisdictions. Kevin has also acted as an advisory expert across construction and engineering projects both domestically and internationally.

Kevin is skilled in the preparation and defence of claims across a broad spectrum of industries and under varying forms of contract. He has been involved in a significant number of claims as well as the facilitation of commercial settlements in various forums including contemplated litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediation.

Kevin has been appointed to provide advice on the administration of live projects and specialises in dispute avoidance, risk management, procurement, interpretation of the technical and process elements of construction contracts, project management structure, and strategy. Kevin is well versed in project rescue, reducing delays and seeking to value engineer, whilst limiting exposure to risk and dealing with differences on a proactive and sensible commercial basis.
