Karen is an experienced construction and property sector professional with 20 years’ experience working across the commercial construction, engineering, and infrastructure sectors as a project director, project manager and superintendent on projects valued at more than AUD$1 billion.
She is also a specialist in claims and dispute resolution for major building, resources and infrastructure projects across Australia. She is experienced in expert witness reports and exhibit preparation, attendance at dispute resolution conferences and mediations, analysis of delay and disruption and extension of time claims.
She has been appointed expert on a number of time-related claims and disputes concerning major construction and engineering matters to be heard at mediation, arbitration and litigation in New South Wales and Western Australia, as well as assisting other experts.
Karen is the vice chair and a director of the Society of Construction Law Australia where she sits on several subcommittees including the experts’ Subcommittee of which she is chair.
In addition to this, Karen is also regularly asked to chair and present at industry seminars and conferences.
